Italian Fresh mozzarella made of DOP buffalo's milk in small pieces "ciliegine"
Like other mozzarellas, they are semi-soft, white and rindless unripened mild cheeses which originated in Campania, Italy.
Bocconcini is often used in tomato and basil salads or to accompany pasta.
Allow cardinals to come to room temperature before serving (20-30 min) . This will accentuate the flavors and aromas.
